When you are on dialysis can you skip a day of treatment?

Not advised: Normal kidneys filter the blood every second. Patients on dialysis are filtered for 4 hours three times a week. Missing a treatment is not in your interests. Patients are at risk for volume overload and hyperkalemia if they go 5 days without dialysis.
