Hypertension: It is unlikely that Lisinopril 40mg would cause death in a person unless they are allergic to lisinopril.

Lisinopril dose: The maximum dose of Lisinopril (l) is 40 mg/day. The greater the dose the more BP and, more importantly, proteinuria is reduced. Side effects of l are not dose-dependent. It would not be fatal to take two 20 mg l tablets or one 40 mg l tablet/day.
