magnesium sulphate can cause pulmonary oedema?

Sometimes: Magnesium, when used in therapeutic doses to replete levels , or in those with asthma exacerbations, do not cause pulmonary edema. However, pulmonary edema has been reported in the obstetric literature when used at high doses to delay labor. Cause not known.
