Bumps: Most likely large taste buds that everyone has on the back of their tongue. If the bumps are a different color than your tongue (deep red/blue) or you are worried see your dentist to have them checked.

Get checked?: If you have not had your dentist look at it, do it! it may be as simple as inflamed taste buds, or for that matter they may be normal you just never noticed them before. If your general dentist does not know he can refer you to an oral surgeon for a closer look.
