Weerda scope: This is used for endoscopic treatment of a Zenker's Diverticulum. Under anesthesia, it is inserted through the mouth. There are two blades with a gap between them. Knobs can adjust the angle of opening as well the distance between the blades. It is positioned with one blade in the esophagus and one blade in the diverticulum. The "party wall" sits in the gap so it can then be divided and stapled.
