Are rosacea sufferers more likely to get skin cancer?

No evidence: There is no evidence to support a direct link between rosacea & skin cancer. However if you have rosacea you may be at risk of developing skin cancer later in life from having a light complexion and increased risk of injury from ultraviolet radiation from the sun. It is important that you consult your dermatologist if you have any suspicious lesions.

Fair skin: People with rosacea often but not always have fair skin. Having fair skin can increase your risk of developing skin cancer if you are not careful about sun exposure. In general, using a spf30 sunscreen designed for sensitive skin daily will help keep the rosacea from flaring due to sun exposure and will also help minimize the risk of developing skin cancer.
