Fluid filled sac: A mucous retention cyst is caused by an obstruction of the dust to a gland. In your mouth this would be a salivary gland. It is a fluid filled sac.. Sometimes a small cyst will go away without treatment but if is is large it will ned to be removed. See an oral surgeon or an ENT about this.
