No: Mucous retention cyst in vocal cords is common occurrence in people whose profession makes them use high pitch raised voice a lot. Example- singers and street venders. Well having said so, you can help yourself in no recurrences--- during riaz- or practice ---- warm up exercises if throat and vocal cords helps
