If you have a std would your gynecologist be able to look and tell?

Probably not: Need lab tests (blood or culture) to determine if std present and what kind.

Depends: Some std's are diagnosed by looking at a wet prep under a microscope, some are diagnosed by cultures, and some are diagnosed by blood tests.
