Heating pad?: It is not harmful to apply external heat in the form of a heating pad during pregnancy. The important thing is not to increase your "core" temperature, which would be extremely hard to do with a heating pad!

In what way?: If you are referring to using an electric heater to warm a room in which you are sitting then there is no issue.
