Treating malaria: The type of medications and length of treatment depend on the type of malaria, where the person was infected, their age, whether they are pregnant, and how sick they were at the start of treatment. Malaria is a serious disease and it's best to have the experts follow you up for treatment - usually an ID doctor has the most experience. Hope that helps.
