Hard to say: Hard to say from your description. The conjunctiva is the translucent membrane covering the white part of the eye (sclera), and it contains blood vessels. These blood vessels can dilate an be more visible when the eye is inflamed - either from infections, irritations, allergies, etc. See your eye doctor for a complete examination.
