Pregnant?: If you are female, pregnancy causes pregnancy gingivitis, or inflamed bleeding gums due to a surge in hormone levels (which also causes nausea). If not, possibly an allergic reaction to something ingested. See your dentist if no improvement in three days.

So many things...: At a minimum, bleeding gums are caused by inflammation, which can be classified as gingivitis or periodontitis. These problems need to be treated by a dentist, but do not necessarily cause nauseousness. Your symptoms may be unrelated... See a dentist for more info regarding your inflamed gingiva.

See a dentist ASAP: Bleeding gums can be a sign that you are at risk for, or already have, gum disease. The bacteria, along with mucus and other particles, constantly form a sticky, colorless toxic “plaque” on teeth causing the gums to become inflamed and to easily bleed. This is a serious problem, which should be checked by a dentist. The good news is that this condition is curable. Call your dentist today!
