Pre or Perimenopause: You are close to menopause. At this age, ovulation is delayed and the remaining follicles in the ovary become resistant to the effects of gnrh.Either that or they don't develop an egg. No Progesterone is produced. Unopposed estrogen leads to increased thickening of the lining of the uterus, without any signal to stop thickening. Shedding of thickened uterus leads to irregular heavy bleeding.Thanks.
