Betadine used repeatedly on an open wound can dry and damage healing tissue, so should only be used on an open wound under medical direction, only if needed for cleaning infected tissue, should probably be diluted before use on an open wound, and use sparingly on an open wound.

Depends : If there is infection than it is good to use betadine. It does retard healing so when wound is clean, it should be stopped.

No: Betadine is not used on an open wound, as it impairs wound healing. There is one exception, a draining wound on a foot with poor blood flow, and even that is controversial. Surgical wounds are generally just left open to air after 36 hours unless there is infection or drainage.
