Light ok, more not: I am assuming you are not on birth control pills. Some light spotting, like pink discharge can happen when you make an egg and the hormones shift, but if you are mid 40s and more than that, you should get it checked by your gyno. You need to make sure not growing polyps or even early stage uterus cancer. Not likely, but never know, that is more common than cervix Ca and ppl get paps all the time.

Family practice : It is called break through bleeding. Which is common in your age group. If it happens freq then check with your dr. He may want to put you on birth control to regulate your period. Make sure you are not pregnant if that is a possibility.
