A member asked:

What does it mean when you don't stop bleeding after your period?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pregnancy or other: If you normally get regular cycles, but then have a cycle where you do not stop bleeding, the first thing to rule out is pregnancy. After this is ruled out, the possibilities might include physiologic changes (pcos, thyroid disease) or anatomic changes (polyps, fibroids). Check with your doctor!
