A member asked:

How quick does pinkeye develop?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Most 'pink eye' is caused by a viral infection on the 'skin'covering the eyeball-called the conjunctiva. Once infected its called 'conjunctivitis.' this can develop over a few days or 1-2 weeks de you infect your eye when you touch a surface (or person) with the virus and rub your eye-transfering the virus. Some are from sexually transmitted bacteria. Frequent hand washing helps prevent this.
