Pinkeye: Pink eye is a generic term that refers to conjunctivitis (inflammation of the white part of the eye). To treat it, you have to find out the source of the inflammation. It could be viral, bacterial, allergic, traumatic, contact lens related or chemical. The only safe thing you can do is use artificial tears. See your doctor to find the cause and the correct treatment.
