That shoudl not happ: Happen now a days, as your gyn should know when they need to be removed to prevent anything like that , fibroids need to be removed if they cause severe pain, if they are rapidly growing or if they cause excessive blood loss, or if they are blocking an organ, rarely a fibroid can turn into a malignant fibroid which is called a sarcoma, i assume you are being followed by a gyn if u have fibroids.

Possibly: If you have very heavy periods that do not stop and you do not seek care. Please make sure you are followed closely by your gyn.
