No. Tread lightly.: No. Disc will not heal with injections. What ore your symptoms? Any weakness/numbness - see neurosurgeon. Pain only - nerve root block may indeed help. "shots" in the sense of epidural steroid injections are a (lucrative) "band-aid". Given the proximity to the spinal cord, injections into the cervical epidural space can cause paralysis. If pain is at all tolerable - tread lightly around "shots".
