More complications: This is not a simple answer and depends on the approach to the hysterectomy (large abdominal incision vs small minimally invasive incisions) and the time which the surgery takes. In general robotic surgery results in the easiest approach in patients who are obese. Overall though risks of blood clots in the legs and lungs and infection is increased in obese individuals and with larger scars.
