Can you develop a blood clot from an emg test?

I do not beleive so: Emg testing use very small needles which does not cause any bleeding (significant), unless you are on blood thinner it may.

EMG: No history of blood clot associated with EMG testing. If you are on a blood thinner you may get a hematoma which is bleeding within the muscle. Very small needles are used for the test and the test should be almost painless if done correctly.

The small needles may cause local bruising or minimal bleeding but do not cause any type of vascular complications otherwise. Blood clots are not secondary to EMG studies
