6-8 weeks: The skull fracture itself will heal just like any other bone in the body and usually take 6-8 weeks. The actual symptoms however, may persist depending on the extent of injury to the underlying brain tissue.

Relatively quickly: The fracture itself heals up within a few weeks. If there is additional brain injury from the impact that may take months to clear. Usually if the skull cracks it dissipates the impact energy so the brain may stay functional without obvious damage. If there is any cerebrospinal fluid leakage or inner ear damage associated with the trauma or fracture this may take longer to resolve (months).
