Bacteria: I assume you are referring to vaginal discharge. If the woman is not sexually active, it is most likely bacterial vaginosis. Caused by changes in the acidity of the vagina and possibly bacteria introduced by aging changes poor hygiene, incontinence etc. If there is blood in the discharge it may look grayish as well. Either way, this should be checked by a medical practitioner.
