A member asked:

Daughter says hurts after poops and has dilated aorta, is that a symptom?

Dilated aorta: Generally dilated aorta is without symptoms unless its acute dilation. There could be increased abdominal pressure with defecation but have never heard of aortic symptoms being triggered by same. Would need lots more history and physical to try and figure out why post poopal pain is present.

Poops: There is no connection between a dilate aorta. I would look for other canuses like passing a hard stool if your child is constipated.Or does she have a rectal fissure? Have evaluated by your pediatrician.
