Chalazion: There is no set time for the resolution of your condition. The medical term for heat boil or stye is chalazion. The normal oil duct gets blocked, and the oil builds up inside your eyelid. You can heat the eyelid and try to milk out the trapped oil. If the condition persists more than a few days, see you specialist eye md (ophthalmologist). You may need surgery.
