Scars (caused by any process or injury) are permanent and require other surgical intervention for improvement, such as dermabrasion or laser resurfacing. No: Acutane changes the secretions of the oil glands of the skin to reduce the severity of cystic acne (the worst type). Scars are scars and need to be addressed separately after your acne is stable.
