Obsessive thoughts: Are common in individuals who have any anxiety disorder (when anxiety causes sustained distress or impairment) including obsessive-compulsive disorder. The thoughts tend to reflect a person's underlying emotions and fears. Learning anxiety management strategies, improved sleep and nutrition, and coping may help reduce and possibly eliminate this type of thinking.
