Not enough info: Many things can cause finger pain. Trauma to the finger such as banging it against the wall can cause: fractures, tendon or ligament injuries, contusion or bruising. I would start with rest, ice, elevation and Motrin or tylenol (acetaminophen) if needed. If the pain persists, or if there is any deformity or loss of movement, then have it evaluated by a hand surgeon.
