Repeat MRI: Multiple reasons could apply. If there was movement during the MRI it would make fine details hard to see. If there was an area of concern the may want to add contrast to improve the resolution and improve the diagnostic capabilities. I would contact the person that ordered the MRI because that should have received the results and should be following this up.

Ask your doctor: There's no way to know why you received that letter or why they want to repeat the test. Whoever ordered that first MRI should talk with you to let you know what's going on. Give them a call, and keep calling back until you get an answer.
