Ovulate 2wks b4 mens: Ovulation occurs 2 weeks prior to menses. If egg isn't fertilized, then you shed your uterine lining as your monthly period. However, we count day 1 as 1st day of menses so ovulation will likely occur around day 10. Best time to attempt conception is from a few days before to a few days after. Be sure to start prenatal vitamins now to minimize risk for neural tube defect.
