I had a bilateral release done 1 1/2 yrs ago, my leg and knee is still swollen, can there be a blood clot or an infection or something else going on?

Possible: Surgery and prolonged immobilization can predispose to dvt. However the swellings you describe do not neccesarily suggest dvt. Discuss with your operating surgeon.
