Talk with surgeon: Talk with the doctors who did the surgery. That might explain what was done, what to expect, how to repair remaining problems if possible. From my personal finger break (pinky) i know that it has never been the same and that further efforts are not recommended. I've had to learn to ignore it. I hope yours is more optimistic - but it might not be. It seems that fingers are tough to mend. Best!
