Grill: Besides the personal preference of gold in the front, the material itself is not a problem. The problem would be reducing or damaging your teeth and exposure to weakening of tooth structure, leakage and decay and ease of cleaning. Maybe a removable grill would be an option. Put it in when needed and then take out.
