Scientific Rx: Acne is a chronic disease that eventually remits. But it's always manageable. If topical benzoyl peroxide has not cleared you in two weeks, get with you personal physician; topical tretinoin, a topical or systemic antibiotic, or perhaps even spironolactone or the big guns will work. If you're female, a hormonal problem may be found and/or the oral contraceptive pill might clear you.
