Avoid self harm: Self harm is a dangerous way to deal with sadness. If you feel like hurting yourself, reach out and get help. There are hot lines 24/7 like the samaratans to speak with someone about your sadness. Therapists and ministers help people work through their sorrow. No matter what you are sad about, you do not deserve to be hurt. Don't delay, ask for help today. Things will get better in time.

DEPRESSION: Get an evaluation from a psychiatrist to help identify what depression means to you and whatever else may be bothering you. Consider recommendations for medication if any are given. Get a referral for a reputable psychotherapist to speak with. Meds and therapy combined are most optimal; no just one or the other.
