Talking: Guys want to talk about it. Really. You may wind up crying, but guys show emotion by talking about it. What that does is open you up emotionally to whomever you are talking with, allowing that emotional bond you feel was ripped from you. It confirms that you have good friends you can count on, and that helps you heal.

Guys cry too: Breakups are hard, period. And although they might not want it commonly known, guys cry too. Some go out and get drunk, or grab the next girl they can find -- but this doesn't relieve the pain. Some also talk about it with trusted friends, men and women. Be with others as you can tolerate; get plenty of sleep; eat well; exercise; stay away from alcohol and drugs. Grieving takes its own time.

DEPRESSION: Get an evaluation from a psychiatrist to help identify what depression means to you and whatever else may be bothering you. Consider recommendations for medication if any are given. Get a referral for a reputable psychotherapist to speak with. Meds and therapy combined are most optimal; no just one or the other.

Crying OK!: Guys cry, too! And if you feel like crying, don't hold back. You can do it in private. Other ways to release pent up emotions are aerobic exercise, weight lifting, playing music, drawing, etc. You can yell at the top of your lungs in your car... Whatever feels good and doesn't hurt you or someone else.
