No specific age: There is no specific age one must be to 'get' dentures. The important thing is to have remove any teeth that are a source of infection, and built a prosthesis that would allow you to be as comfortable, esthetically happy, and functional as possible. Good luck. Keep smiling.

Age is not the issue: It is not about how old you have to be, we make replacement teeth for people when and if they need them. Cleft palate children, young actors with lost deciduous teeth who are going for a part, and people with missing teeth who can not at this time have implants or orthodontics, can all be helped with dentures. Any one who loses teeth can be helped in this way.

Age for dentures: You can receive full or partial removable dentures at any age. Children with congenitally missing teeth or adults of any age can have full or partial dentures to replace them.

Dentures: When i was in dental school i saw in clinic a young LAD about the age of 10 who had an upper denture. His teeth had to be extracted from rampant decay. We can make dentures at any age but always try to educate our patients and encourage good oral hygiene, healthy diets, regular checkups and good dental care. We also encourage other more stabile, comfortable, and natural types of tooth replacement.

Age is not an issue: Do not worry about the age, been healthy is the most important issue. Get the dentures first and latter on you might be able to get implants in the future.

No matter what: Age is irrelevant but removable dentures for someone of any age takes getting used to & your chewing efficiency is greatly diminished. You should consider all-on-4 dental treatment which typically includes the placement of 4 dental implants & the construction of a small u shaped denture the dentist screws directly into the implants (you don't take out) & removed only for professional cleaning.

No age limit: Unforunately, denture wearers have no minimum age. Occasionally we even make dentures for babies who are born with a cleft palate so that they can nurse properly.
