Encourage her to get: Help. Any person who engages in repeated self- harm needs mental health assistance. A comprehensive psychological evaluation is needed. The person may need medications to help with possible mental health conditions. If the self- harm is associated with substance abuse – detoxification, 12 step programs or rehabilitation may be indicated. Dialectic behavioral therapy is especially beneficial >.
