Got a smear test told abnormal have hpv infection, is this contagious?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Gurmukh Singh answered

Yes: Hpv is a sexually transmitted infection and is the major cause of cancer of the cervix. You should have regular pap smears to make sure any lesions are detected early.
