Vein Specialist: I hear this complaint every day. Varicose veins are due to malfunctioning valves(refluxing) usually of the saphenous system. You should have a full venous evaluation with a reflux venous ultrasound and this is best evaluated by a vein specialist. There are many minimally invasive and cosmetically very acceptable treatments for varicose veins.
