A soap: It not typically found in toothpaste and not intended to be ingested. It is a soap found in many liquid soaps.

Possibly: Sodium laural sulfate is a detergent. It is what causes the foam when brushing teeth. It is a skin irritant and if you are predisposed to cancer sores it will aggravate the condition. It has been suggested for use as an insecticide. I try to avoid it as much as possible.
