A member asked:

Is axis in contact lenses imporant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: If you have astigmatism ( a difference in corneal curvature from one part of the cornea to another) axis is important. The importance of correct axis is related to the amount of astigmatism--that is, the higher the astigmatic correction, the more important it is that the axis be accurate.
