The only possible : Explanation i can think is hypoplastic left heart syndrome. At birth severe congenital heart defect. Soon after baby is born a series of reconstructive surgeries need to be drone. This babies/kids need a lifetime follow up by specialist. All patient will have a close relationship with cardiologist. Complications are common. Arrhythmias, blood clot, heart failure. Few survivor after 20. Not many.
