Not usually: Surgeons use a variety of instruments or hardware in the operating room. Sometimes we will show patients what an implant looks like, or other object that is specialized, but the run of the mill equipment is not usually shown.

Not usually: Most patients really don't want to know those specific details. We certainly answer questions when asked and would not hesitate to show instruments if a patient so desired. Can't think of a time when i was asked to show instruments?
