MRSA carriers:: Often several people in the family carry MRSA in their noses; i recommend Mupirocin ointment into nostrils definitely for persons who have actual MRSA infections, but also for family members.

Unlikely to be pbm: For everyone out there:mrsa is everywhere, it is not new, it is real but manageable and people with it do not need to be treated like they have the plague. You are as likely to find it on a random surface at home, at the supermarket or any other location. After the mid 50's we had penicillin resistant staph, but the world did not end. Simple hand washing ; wound care reduces anyones risks.
