They are opposites!: A clot is when blood no longer flows freely. Various cells and factors in the blood cause the blood to be stuck into a sticky lump, called a clot. This stops the bleeding after a cut or injury, but can be dangerous when it cuts off the flow inside an artery or vein ( called thrombosis). Hemorrhage is bleeding, but the term usually refers to very heavy, dangerous bleeding.
