I have taken zoloft (sertraline) tablets (powder variety) for more thanthree years. i have trouble swallowing and i often bite/halfthem as they are scored in the middle. is it okay to chew orhalf the tablets?

Zoloft (sertraline): Yes you can crush and mix in juice the whole tablet. Please rule out causes for difficulty swallowing.

Zoloft (sertraline): Stick your tongue out, put the pills as far back on the tongue as you can, then swallow with lots of juice.

Zoloft (sertraline): Yes. What matters is your response to the medication. If you have been taking it for a long time and have been having a good response to it, there is no reason to consider changing.
