What to take for a headache from allergy?

Several choices: Discomfort/pressure from nasal congestion due to allergies is best treated with a topical nasal steroid spray or a decongestant (although these may have more side effects). For a headache, Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen are still appropriate choices.

Depends: If you are referring to nasal congestion causing your headache, then a medication reducing the congestion may work. In otc medication it is usually indicated by -d. However this may also keep you awake and raise your blood pressure. There are also other causes for headaches including sinusitis. Check with your doctor if the headache continues or gets worse.
